Based within our area wide Younger Adult’s team in Motherwell you will be part of a team leading on Self Directed Support, contributing to the promotion of social work values and supporting the development and maintenance of best practice as well as monitoring and reporting on performance in this field of work. You will lead on the implementation of the 3-year SDS Improvement plan and support the implementation of our operating model- getting it right for everyone.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that staff are aware of and operate within organisational policies, procedure and national standards.
To apply for this position, you must hold a professional or academic qualification in Social Work or another relevant field together with substantial experience in an operational social work setting or equivalent. You must have extensive experience working with people, implementing and leading person-centred assessment and planning.
A relevant postgraduate or management qualification and previous experience as a people manager is desirable.
You must be registered or eligible for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member through Disclosure Scotland and obtain a satisfactory membership check prior to commencing in this role.

Working Pattern:
Monday - Thursday: 08:45am - 16:45pm
Friday: 08:45am - 16:15pm
The temporary post is contracted until 20/03/2028.
