Based within Adult Social Work Services, Headquarters Section based in Motherwell, you will contribute to the promotion of social work values and ethos as represented in the Getting It Right for Everyone Principles. You will be called upon to facilitate innovation and deliver effective change management through the implementation and embedding of the Proportionate Care approach across Adult Social Work Services. This will involve working collaboratively with teams and partners to promote strengths-based, person-centred practice, ensuring that individuals receive the right level of support at the right time. The post holder will contribute to service development, practice improvement and cultural change, helping to ensure that care and support arrangements are proportionate to assessed need while maximising independence, choice and control for service users. Through leadership, guidance and support to staff, the role will help deliver high-quality outcomes and ensure we are getting it right for everyone.
You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member through Disclosure Scotland and obtain a satisfactory membership check prior to commencing in this role.
You require to have one of the following qualifications, a CQSW/DipSW or equivalent, a BSc Occupational Therapy/DipCOT or equivalent, or a Professional Nursing Qualification. You will also be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), or Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) or Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and in addition will have substantial post qualifying experience and a background working in a social care setting. Previous supervisory/management experience is desirable.
Working Pattern:
Monday - Thursday: 08:45am - 16:45pm
Friday: 08:45am - 16:15pm
This position is temporary until 30/09/2027.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
