An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to become part of the Business Change and Improvement Team (BPCIS) within North Lanarkshire Adult Health and Social Care. You will help support the implementation of the North Lanarkshire Health & Social Care Partnership (HSCNL) Strategic Plan as it relates to digitisation and the implementation of new digital platforms including a dynamic scheduling tool and a new social care case management system.

We are committed to innovative and new approaches to ways of working within Social Work. If successful you will be responsible for delivering key projects and supporting the Service Manager in identifying and maximising benefit realisation via effective and timely project methodology and deliverables across several allocated improvement projects and business areas. They will ensure the production of key documents as defined within the project governance process and maintenance of core project governance.

The post will contribute to the ongoing successful delivery of digital transformation of Social Work Services including the procurement and implementation of a dynamic scheduling tool primarily for Home Support and the ongoing implementation with the replacement of mySWIS the case management system for Social Work Services to Mosaic and the wider North Lanarkshire Council vision.

You will support the procurement, development and implementation of the solution using corporate project management toolkits, this will ensure management and reporting of progress aligns with corporate standards.

You will also support the Service Manager in the end-to-end project including initiation, planning, monitoring and reporting of progress all in line with NLC’s corporate Project Management toolset. A further requirement will be to consider and evaluate the potential impact on existing staff of proposed changes and the resultant requirement and implementation of a training and support plan.

You will require excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills and experience of working across services and inter-agency working. Educated to SVQ Level 4, HND or general degree in an ICT related or other relevant subject, project management knowledge and experience of delivering new or replacement systems and solutions are also essential.

Experience in mySWIS and dynamic resource scheduling tools, financial planning involving revenue and capital commitments, developing and implementing training plans and knowledge of corporate governance and procurement practices in the public sector are also desirable.

The posts are temporary for up to 31 March 2025.
