Based within our venues throughout North Lanarkshire, you will work within our Sports Development Team, working at various Leisure Centres throughout North Lanarkshire. The overall aim is to support and assist in the development and delivery of sports activity programmes throughout North Lanarkshire and in particular our athletics sport development programme. The athletics programme caters for children aged 3 years through to 12 years of age.

The objectives are to improve the health and wellbeing of participants whilst encouraging positive attitudes towards physical activity and the community.

You must possess a relevant qualification in the appropriate sports or activity discipline and as part of a strong, established team of coaches, you will be responsible for planning, organising and delivering an appropriate range of sports activities. You will be a dynamic and experienced sports coach who will inspire young people to achieve their full potential and to deliver top quality sessions.

Various part time hours and work patterns available which will be discussed at interview.

These posts are temporary until 31st March 2025.

Work Pattern:

POST 1: 11.50 hrs per week

Tuesday Airdrie 4.45pm to 7.15pm, Wednesday Ravenscraig 3.45pm to 6.15pm, Thursday Broadwood 4pm to 7.15pm and Saturday Broadwood 10am to 1.15pm

POST 2: 2.5 hours per week

Monday, Wishaw, 3.45pm to 6.15pm

POST 3: 2.5 hours per week

Monday, Wishaw, 3.45pm to 6.15pm

POST 4: 2.5 hours per week

Wednesday, Townhead, 3.45pm to 6.15pm

POST 5: 2.5 hours per week

Wednesday, Ravenscraig, 3.45pm to 6.15pm

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
