You’ll need to be attending a North Lanarkshire school in S4-S6 or attending New College Lanarkshire aged 16-19 or within this age range and living in the North Lanarkshire Council area. We can only offer placements to young people who have not already undertaken a summer placement with us.
When does it start?
The summer placements will run from 29 June to 7 August 2026 to fit around school/college holidays. Training will take place from 15 June 2026. You are able to take some time off for a holiday during this time but we do ask that you can commit to attend for a minimum of 5 weeks during this period.
The working pattern will vary depending upon your placement but your working day should be for a maximum of 6 hours long and likely to be Monday – Friday 9am - 3pm or 10am - 4pm with a half-hour unpaid break each day (27.5 hours paid work each week). Some placement will require evening and weekend work outwith these times.
