Working as part of the wider CLD team, you will be required to support the core functions of Youth Work. As a Support Worker you will support the delivery of Living Life to the Full, to develop participants’ personal and social skills. An enthusiastic and motivated individual, you will have an awareness of key developments within CLD. The main areas of delivery will be with the ongoing development and enhancement of the community based mental health and wellbeing youth work offer. You will be required to link with schools in the area to develop the role. Training will be provided to all successful candidates.

An enthusiastic and motivated individual, you will have an awareness of current national and local developments within relevant CLD disciplines. Successful candidates will have good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

You must have relevant qualifications at SCQF level 5 and above and previous experience of community-based work with young people or adults.

The CLD Support Worker will be line managed through the CLD Youth Work team.

Work pattern-

14 hours per week

Hours will be discussed further at interview stage, and successful candidates are expected to work during the day, in the evenings and weekends. Locations for posts are Pivot Community Education Centre, Glasgow and Calderhead High School, Shotts.

You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to starting this post.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
