Based in the Civic Centre, Motherwell, you will report to the Tenant Participation Manager and work as part of the Housing Solutions Team. You will have the opportunity to shape the way our tenants communicate with the council and work with tenants to encourage their participation to ensure the needs of tenants and local communities are met.

With an HND or degree equivalent qualification in housing, community engagement or relevant discipline, you should have moderate experience in delivering tenant participation or community engagement activities and have experience of developing policies and guidance.

With a successful track record in supporting tenants or community groups to build capacity, you will be knowledgeable and skilled in organising and presenting at events.

Experience of monitoring budgets and supervising external consultants and contracts is desirable.

It is a requirement of the post that you work some evenings and weekends to support tenants and residents’ groups, attend events and any other tenant participation/ involvement activities as required. The days and times of these may vary from week to week.

The ability to travel throughout North Lanarkshire and surrounding areas is essential.

Working Pattern:

Monday to Thursday 08:45hr - 16:45hr

(55 minute unpaid break)

Friday 08:45hr - 16:15hr

(50 minute unpaid break)
