Charleston Square is Renfrewshire Council's supported accommodation for Care Leavers who were formally Looked After and Accommodated by the Local Authority. Renfrewshire Council is committed to providing the highest standards of care and are therefore developing this service. As a result a number of exciting new opportunities have arisen. We are looking to recruit individuals who are committed to improving the lives of our young people and who are ambitious for their future by supporting the late shift and night staff.

You must have an understanding of the complex issues and barriers faced in the transition to living independently; have the ability to develop, implement and review support plans; develop effective partnership working; manage your own workload and build positive relationships with difficult to engage young people and their families. An in-depth understanding of social care values and literacy and IT skills are also required.

You must be dedicated and skilled at assisting young people to make positive changes to their lives; determined to remain engaged with young people and to employ a consistent approach in the provision of support; be enthusiastic and motivated and enjoy working as part of a team; be organised and reliable with the ability to prioritise your workload, manage your own case load whilst being a resourceful and effective communicator.

Applicants must be able to work shifts including weekends and night shift.

An ability or interest in creative arts is desirable.

Full current driving licence is also desirable.
