To allocate empty properties within a high quality customer focused service environment, main duties of the post include, updating information on the property database, selecting applicants from the Housing Waiting List, ensuring targets are met in relation to the letting process, replying to written enquiries, assisting with the auditing of the letting and voids procedures, producing void performance/target reports and making recommendations for improvements where required.
You must have previous relevant experience including dealing with the public in person, providing advice and assistance on allocations, letter & report writing and record keeping. You must also have effective verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to handle difficult situations and organise your own workload.
General knowledge of the role and functions of a local authority Housing Service, Numeracy Skills and experience of word processing are essential.
Relevant SVQ level qualification is desirable aswell as previous experience of liaising with various agencies, using Microsoft Word and excel.
