The Assistant Finance Business Partner will play a key role in providing high‑quality financial advice, analysis and information within the Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership.

 


As a finance professional within the Renfrewshire Health & Social Care Partnership, you will be expected to develop a strong understanding of service operations and priorities, enabling you to support, challenge and influence financial management matters and related service decisions.

 


Reporting to the Finance Operational Manager, you will work collaboratively to build, develop and maintain effective working relationships across services. You will provide professional financial support to budget holders, contribute to strategic financial planning, and support the management of financial risks, pressures and savings opportunities.

 


You must have experience of providing strategic financial advice to senior managers, improving equality outcomes for our citizens and staff by assisting the Council to meet its Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED), as well as experience of working with elected members, board members and other similar stakeholder groups and successful budgetary management and control.

 


You will have an understanding of and the ability to deliver effective financial management and knowledge and understanding of effective financial governance, controls, and regulations, with an ability to provide effective financial advice, support and scrutiny.

 


Knowledge of and the ability to provide general taxation advice as well as effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to tailor communications depending on the audience are also essential.

 


You must have the ability to assess business needs from multiple sources, producing high level summaries and recommending appropriate actions and an understanding of organisational change management philosophies, tools and techniques.

 


It is essential that you are be a fully professionally qualified CCAB Accountant or equivalent.
