We are looking for a well organised individual to ensure an effective clerical support service is provided to our stakeholders and customers of Shortroods Out of School Care and Ferguslie After School Care. The staff team in these services create a nurturing environment, where children feel safe, have a voice, and experience a variety of indoor and outdoor play experiences. The main base will be in Glencoats PS, but the postholder will be expected to work from the other base located at Mossvale/St James PS during the school holiday periods, and as required. Duties for the post include; customer service, processing manual and computerised financial, pupil and personnel information; producing and analysing reports; document production, including typing letters and reports; procurement (processing purchase orders and credit card transactions); providing basic IT assistance. The postholder will need to have excellent customer services skills; have good organisational and time management skills; have clerical experience within an ‘office type’ environment; be able to work to deadlines and respond to last minute requests or changes within a process driven environment; can demonstrate a strong track record of being a team player; have experience using ICT systems for data input, reporting, email and using Microsoft Office for word processing and excel for finance recording; complete tasks to a high quality and be accurate particularly when handling cash; have good literacy and numeracy skills, be sensitive and discreet when dealing with confidential information. It is also essential that you have the ability to; work as part of a team and on your own initiative; work to deadlines and quality standards and have strong organisational, customer care and communication skills. An SVQ level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent is also desirable. If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
