Community Learning and Development Support Worker
Based within Adult and Family learning, the post will provide dedicated adult and family learning support as part of the Council’s Connected Communities team – a great opportunity to develop your career as a Community Learning and Development professional.
A key part of these roles will be supporting the delivery of Adult and Family Learning classes in a range of areas including Literacies, ESOL, IT, Personal Development and Family Learning.
This role will suit an organised individual with experience of working with young people, adults or families in a community setting. You will be an effective communicator verbally and in writing, able to work with a range of groups and individuals in a range of community settings, having planning and organisational skills and have an ability to evaluate and review.
An ability to work as part of a team and work evenings and weekends is also essential.
A relevant Community Learning and Development qualification, experience of working in the community with a range of agencies and community groups and specific skills in one or more areas of Community Learning and Development are desirable but not essential. In particular for this role, experience relating to adult and family learning would be welcome, for example, ESOL, literacies, personal development or family learning.
