Corporate Support Officer (Temporary)

An opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Support Officer to provide a comprehensive and confidential secretarial support service to the Children Services Directorate. This role may be attractive to individuals who have previously worked in an Education or Social Work setting

 

The postholder will carry out a wide range of tasks to support Chief Officers including interacting with counterparts within Renfrewshire Council and other external agencies and partners to arrange meetings ;managing and processing all incoming mail and email correspondence as required; maintaining a diary of appointments and meetings and producing and maintaining a variety of documents such as briefing papers, board reports, presentations, structure charts etc. using a range of ICT packages.

 

It is essential that you have significant secretarial experience at Director and/or Senior Manager level; experience of working in the Public Sector and experience of diary management and arranging events and conference calls.

 

It is essential that you are able to work efficiently and accurately when under pressure to meet tight deadlines and have effective organisational, planning and prioritisation skills and attention to detail.

 

You must have effective computer skills including Word (advanced level) and PowerPoint (advanced level), Effective organisational, planning and prioritisation skills aswell as attention to detail.

 

Effective literacy, numeracy, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) are also essential.

 

Interviews for this post will take place on Tuesday 30th June 2026.
