This is an exciting opportunity to work in Children’s Services supporting with the development of research and evaluation practice across a range of projects and programmes.

 

You will have an honors degree or professional qualification in social sciences, education, health, or related subject as well as an established track record in designing, carrying out or managing social research, and providing research-based advice and briefings.

The post holder will have experience of leading and designing complex impact evaluations across multiple portfolios, reporting research information to non-specialist stakeholders, analysing, and reporting on qualitative and quantitative data.

Qualitative and quantitative social research skills and effective evaluation skills are essential, and you must be able to demonstrate an understanding of strategic research and evaluation.

You will have experience of partnership working and have effective communication skills. You will be expected to communicate to and influence non-specialists in research and evaluation practice.

The post holder will have the ability to work to tight deadlines and to deliver at pace. You should be a self-starter and be able to think creatively. It is essential that you will be able to develop a rapport with children, young people, and adults, including those who might be harder to reach.

We are looking for someone with an enthusiastic can-do attitude, be able to work as part of a team and have capacity for self-reflection. The ability to work flexibly to meet the need of the service is essential.

Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 23 months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.
