Digital Content Officer (Temporary)
Renfrewshire Council is seeking a talented Digital Content Officer with an experienced background in social media to join our marketing and communications service.
As a Council, we are focused on supporting our communities, helping those most in need and providing core public services which meet the needs of our residents.
We want to work with our partners to improve opportunities for all those who live and work in Renfrewshire, maintain and grow a vibrant local economy, provide sustainable business and cultural infrastructure, and improve and protect Renfrewshire’s environment.
Our communications need to support these aims and our digital channels are an integral part of this, allowing us to reach target audiences and talk directly to them about the work we are doing to make Renfrewshire a great place to live, work and visit.
As a Digital Content Officer, you will create, co-ordinate and delivery engaging, high-performing content that supports the Council’s communication agenda and priorities, bringing our services and projects to life across our digital channels.
You will have relevant experience or an equivalent qualification such as a HNC in Communications, Media or Digital and experience of creating engaging organic content for social media and digital channels, as well as a proven track record of achievement in social media and digital, and experience of filming and editing social media content.
You must have the ability to work concurrently on a variety of projects and be confident, persuasive and comfortable working with managers and partners from other departments with the ability to communicate with colleagues about digital insights.
You will be creative and innovative, with attention to detail and the ability to work flexibly to tight deadlines.
Effective presentation, analytical, digital, ICT, copywriting, and editing skills, with extensive knowledge of social media and creating targeted content for channel audiences is essential.
A full driving licence is also essential as the role will involve travelling to a variety of locations across Renfrewshire.
Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 2 Years or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.
