There’s never been a better time to join Renfrewshire Council.

We are delivering an exciting programme of regeneration initiatives and projects across Renfrewshire—an ambitious programme for an area with huge potential. Regeneration is at the heart of the Council’s work, with our town centres, economy, culture and heritage at the top of the agenda as we strive to create high‑quality places for our communities, businesses and visitors.

We are expanding our award‑winning, multi‑disciplinary Regeneration team and need enthusiastic people with the skills to help deliver our ambitious agenda for the maximum benefit of Renfrewshire. We are now looking for a highly motivated

Economic Investment Officer to support delivery of our strategic investment priorities, including maximising the impact of the Glasgow City Region City Deal, the Investment Zone and major opportunities linked to the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland (AMIDS).

As a key member of the Regeneration team, you will play a central role in developing Renfrewshire’s investment offer—building a strong evidence base, engaging with investors, and promoting the region as a destination of choice for high‑value business growth. You will work closely with the Regeneration & Place Manager, Head of Economy & Development, the Council’s joint‑venture partner, AMIDS stakeholders and a wide range of public‑ and private‑sector partners.

It is essential that you have experience in preparing reports, briefings and presentations for senior stakeholders and experience of supporting investor engagement and responding to investment-related queries.

You also must have experience in real estate development and data analysis, as well as experience of working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.

You will have understanding of investment intelligence and economic impact assessment, and the ability to develop and maintain investment profiles, as well as knowledge of sources for economic data, information and new policy.

It is essential that you have effective written and verbal communication, and effective interpersonal skills, and you have the ability to build effective relationships.

A Degree-Level qualification (or equivalent) in Planning, Regeneration, Real Estate, Economics, or a related discipline is essential.

If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check. The level of check will be determined by the duties of the post. For further information regarding Disclosure Scotland checks, please visit www.disclosurescotland.co.uk
