You will assist with the management of Renfrewshire Community Meals Service.  You will be responsible for daily service delivery, deployment of staff, liaison with colleagues, service users and suppliers. 

 

The main duties of the post will include supervising and supporting of Community Meals Service Drivers and Catering Assistants.  You will provide day-to-day guidance, mentoring and coaching to staff helping them maintain safe, effective working practices.  You will be responsible for organising and prioritising meal deliveries, vehicle routes and driver workloads, ensuring accurate records are maintained on Eclipse and all relevant databases.

 

You will be expected to respond to unplanned situations, such as staff absences and maintaining service continuity.  Your role will also involve contributing to service development through regular team meetings.

 

Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, and you must be well organised and have experience of supervising and supporting staff with the ability to motivate and support your team. 

 

It is also essential that you have Effective Computer skills and knowledge of health and safety, and food hygiene is desirable.

 

You must be able to work current the rota this will include all Public Holidays, Christmas and New Year.

 

Possession of a current driving licence is essential.
