Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership Care at Home Services provides care and support to vulnerable people living at home in the community which includes extra care housing developments across Renfrewshire.

 

Extra Care Housing service operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Core business is between 6.30am and 10.30pm.  The rota pattern in operation is 4 on/4off.

 

Duties include assisting service users with all aspects of personal care including help with washing, dressing, toileting, medication, etc; help with preparing breakfast and other meals when necessary and assist service users to maintain and develop their daily living skills and improve independence.

 

You will require to undertake all relevant training for the post including attaining a SVQ Level 2 Social Care. It is essential that you have experience of working in a care setting and delivering personal care or in an informal/personal capacity; have an awareness of a range of long term conditions and have an understanding of the needs of people who require help from care services; be able to demonstrate within your application form that you are reliable and flexible with the ability to work as part of a team.  You will also be required to demonstrate that you can communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) and this would include monitoring and reporting changes in the identified needs of service users including the handling of sensitive information.

 

Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 18 months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.
