We are seeking to recruit a Housing Project Manager to work within our Housing Investment team which delivers our capital investment programmes to ensure our housing stock portfolio of 12,000 properties meet all statutory and regulatory standards.  We have a significant programme of investment planned over the next 5 years which includes investment within our multi storey high rise blocks and 8 housing regeneration areas, as well as our programmes to ensure our stock continues to meet the Scottish Housing Quality Standard (SHQS) and the Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing (EESSH). Our Housing Investment team is now expanding to manage the various work programmes associated with this investment.

As one of our Housing Project Managers, you will have responsibility for managing a multi disciplinary team delivering a range of major housing investment projects which will contribute to the delivery of our agreed investment priorities, maximising the performance of the housing stock and ensuring the delivery of value for money to the Council.

You will have a relevant technical or building degree and/or professional qualification, with experience of working at a senior level, ideally within a local authority or social housing environment. You will demonstrate an understanding of the role of the client in the investment process, with previous experience of project managing major investment programmes from initial planning and consultation with customers through to completion, ensuring accurate scoping and specification of work, and effective implementation and monitoring to ensure delivery of planned outcomes to customers.

You will require a working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and IT systems.  Additionally, you will have proven managerial, communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.

If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check – the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post. If you would like further information in relation to the Disclosure Scotland checks, please visit www.disclosurescotland.co.uk.
