Renfrewshire Council is seeking high calibre candidates for the role of Lead Facilities Manager – Development and Strategy (Assets).
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who has extensive experience (both strategic and operational) in relation to Property Asset Management and managing a property portfolio within a local authority context.
Your key responsibility will be to provide an overview of the day-to-day leadership, co-ordination and operational management of Renfrewshire Council’s Property Asset Management operation. Providing professional advice and support to ensure that the strategic vision and direction of the service and Council are developed and delivered, you will have the responsibility for the Strategic Property Programme (including delivery of Action Plan) and assisting in leading the property rationalisation and Renfrewshire Council’s new ways of working.
You must be in possession of Degree level or relevant appropriate professional experience and evidence of continuing, relevant, professional development.
You must have extensive experience of working within a building environment with planned & reactive maintenance regimes and experience in managing a multi-disciplinary team.
You also must have experience of working strategically with key partners to develop and delivering services and managing and controlling budgets, as well as experience of formulating and implementing operational plans within a large and complex organisation.
It is essential that you have an understanding of customer service delivery and the importance of delivering customer focused services and knowledge of the statutory and legislative requirements of the service.
You must also the ability to manage flow of information and manage conflicting situations by providing strong leadership and motivational skills and the ability operate effectively at a high operational level and give clear focus in delivering and enhancing services.
It is essential that you hold a Full Driving Licence.
