An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Projects team in Legal and Corporate Governance. We are seeking three dynamic, engaging and dedicated professionals to become part of our multidisciplinary legal team providing Projects advice to Council departments. You will be part of a fast-paced environment delivering projects such as the AMIDS South infrastructure project, the extension of Park Mains High School, along with an ambitious future learning estate strategy, and a number of projects designed to regenerate Renfrewshire.
It is essential that you have effective interpersonal, communication and report writing skills, together with the ability to work as part of a team. It is also essential that you have the ability to co-ordinate client services, external advisers and other stakeholders in managing ongoing projects and the ability to operate under pressure and provide urgent projects legal advice.
You must hold a current Practising Certificate, LLB and a Diploma in Legal Practice and have experience in contract drafting, non-contentious construction aswell as experience of involvement in projects either in public or private sector.
Working knowledge of SBCC and/or NEC contract suites aswell as Significant working knowledge of construction related documents such as framework agreements, building contracts, engineering contracts, development agreements, consultant appointments, bonds, PCG’s, collateral warranties and an understanding of how the EU procurement rules affect local authority projects, construction contracts and framework agreements is also essential.
