The Council has an ambitious agenda to deliver for Renfrewshire: - driving major economic and cultural regeneration programmes, supporting the development of strong and resilient communities, tackling inequality, and promoting opportunity, ensuring the sustainability of Renfrewshire and its natural environment and promoting better outcomes for local people and communities.

 

We are seeking an ambitious Project Manager to join our Programme Management Unit. In this role, you will lead and support a range of key strategic programmes and major projects providing professional change management, including both programme and project management. Key responsibilities include monitoring and evaluating the day-to-day progress of projects ensuring production of satisfactory documentation; developing implementation and contingency plans whilst managing project risks; overseeing budgets and reporting project progress including attendance at programme and other appropriate boards.

 

You will be self-motivated with the ability to work to strict deadlines whilst developing effective working relationships. In addition, you will have a customer-focused, innovative, flexible approach to work.

 

You must possess previous experience of project management with a demonstrable record of achievement coupled with knowledge of change methodologies, effective written and verbal communication skills, leadership and influential skills. Experience of using project planning tools such as MS Project, experience in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and numeracy, literacy, problem solving and organisational skills are also essential.

 

A qualification or accreditation in Project Management is desirable.
