Renfrewshire Health & Social Care Partnership is seeking an experienced, values led Registered Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of high quality, regulated Care at Home services for adults and older people across Renfrewshire. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for ensuring the service is well led, effectively governed and continuously improving, with a strong focus on positive outcomes for people who use services. The post offers the opportunity to lead a large, established service during a period of significant change and development, shaping service delivery, supporting partnership wide priorities and influencing the future direction of Care at Home services, supported by a committed and experienced senior leadership team. The postholder will provide visible, accountable leadership and will act as the Registered Manager with the Care Inspectorate. You will ensure the service operates in full compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, demonstrating professional accountability and effective oversight of quality, risk and performance. As part of a supportive and collaborative Care at Home Senior Management Team, you will contribute to strategic planning, service improvement and robust governance, ensuring priorities are clearly communicated and embedded across the service. You will be responsible for creating and sustaining a positive, inclusive and transparent culture within the Care at Home service, where staff feel supported, engaged, valued and confident in delivering high quality care and support. You will provide strong, visible leadership to large multi‑disciplinary teams and ensure robust arrangements are in place for safe recruitment, comprehensive induction, mandatory and role specific training, supervision, professional development and effective performance management. As Registered Manager, you will lead the development of a skilled, competent and assured workforce by promoting reflective learning, practice observation and timely support. You will use feedback, complaints, incidents and inspection findings to strengthen practice, build confidence and drive continuous improvement across the service. Strong governance arrangements will sit at the centre of this role. You will ensure robust systems are in place to monitor service quality, manage risk, maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with HSCP policies and procedures.You will use performance data, audits, feedback and management information to provide assurance, identify areas for improvement and take timely, proportionate action. You will also ensure Adult Support and Protection responsibilities are clearly understood and consistently applied across the service. The role carries significant responsibility for the effective management and governance of resources. You will ensure services are delivered within agreed budgets while responding proactively to changes in demand and capacity. Through effective planning, analysis and reporting, you will support sustainable service delivery and contribute to wider HSCP priorities, including ensuring timely hospital discharge and minimising delay. You will be expected to build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with people who use services and their families, as well as with NHS colleagues, partner organisations, Trade Unions and elected members. Clear and confident communication is essential, as the role involves preparing reports and briefings for senior management and governance forums and operating within a complex political and partnership environment. You will also contribute to business continuity planning and provide management cover, including evenings, weekends and public holidays. You must hold an SVQ Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF Level 9 (or equivalent), with SVQ Care Services Leadership and Management at SCQF Level 10 desirable. This post is within an occupational group that requires registration with the Scottish Social Services Council. You will have experience of managing complex services within a social care or health setting, experience leading large teams and managing budgets, and demonstrate strong leadership, governance and communication skills, with the ability to use performance information to drive service improvement. You must understand all aspects of adult and older people’s services, the issues impacting these services and service/integration delivery models, demonstrable experience of challenging existing ways of working and promoting and leading improved practice as part of wider service improvement aswell as working knowledge of MS Office suite and other relevant IT systems. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to tailor communications depending on the audience including Board / Elected Members and Trades Unions is also essential.
