Senior Accommodation Assistant (Temporary)

 

 

The Senior Accommodation Assistant will be based within the Housing Advice and Homeless Service with a key responsibility to manage and supervise operations of the two staffed accommodations at Fitzalan Court and Thrushcraig Crescent.

 

 

 

This will include supervising Accommodation Assistants and Housekeepers and ensuring the two staffed accommodation complexes meet all applicable regulatory provisions.

 

 

 

 

It is essential that you have clerical experience including record keeping on a computer and experience of liaising with a wide range of agencies. You must have previous relevant experience of dealing with the public in person.

 

 

 

 

You must have knowledge of current homeless legislation and how to deal effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds.

 

 

 

 

It essential that you are able work on your own initiative and use own initiative as well as having the ability to work shifts, ensuring that there is 24-hour cover at the supported accommodation.

 

 

 

The postholder will ensure continuous improvement and assist the Senior Accommodation Officer in developing performance management and training framework for all staff. You will also be required to prepare reports and recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the accommodation service.

 

 

 

 

A full UK driving licence is essential.
