An exciting new Grade 3 Senior Clerical Officer post has been created to work across both the Child Care Operations Team and the Statutory Support Team. The successful candidate will report to the Child Care Operations, Team leader however, the tasks involved will be a combination of Child Care Ops tasks and Statutory Support tasks. This role is office based and will be located in Renfrewshire House, however, you will be required to minute meetings in various locations.

 

 

The main duties of the post will include but are not limited to; collating paperwork, arranging meetings, taking minutes and processing the minutes for various meetings, but with a particular focus on The Fostering and Adoption Panel and Foster Carer Review meetings. The post holder will be required to undertake other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the grade.

 

 

As you will be liaising with multiple agencies, you will need to have experience working with customers/public and demonstrate good customer service skills. You should be able to conduct yourself in a professional manner, respond positively to service requests, be flexible and be able to take a responsible approach to sensitive information. It is essential that you have excellent organisational skills, with a positive, friendly and approachable manner. You must be able to understand and follow processes and instructions from various sources and work under pressure and to strict timescales. You must have a good working knowledge and practical experience of Microsoft Office. Experience of using other common ICT systems, particularly Children’s Services Client Information Systems (such as Eclipse) would be beneficial.

 

 

Other essential qualities are good time management skills, the ability to work on your own as well as part of a team, using your initiative as appropriate and delivering to specified quality standards.
