Senior Revenues Officer (Temporary)

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a positive and effective individual to join the Council Tax billing & collection team as a Senior Revenues Officer.

Reporting to the Council Tax Lead Officer, you will provide coaching and technical expertise to colleagues, handle customer enquiries of a more complex nature, and take an active role in identifying and delivering improvements to service. Capturing and reporting key performance data is a requirement of the role.

You will contribute to agreed service objectives through accurately maintaining Council Tax records and will have knowledge of Council Tax and/or Non-Domestic Rates legislation and administration, as well as working knowledge of NEC Revenues & Benefits system (iWorld) and NEC DM.

You must have experience of dealing with customer queries by phone and in writing, experience of undertaking clerical/administrative/data input work, as well as experience of administering Council Tax or Non-Domestic Rates.

Effective communication skills are essential for the role, including the ability to present ideas in a clear and concise manner, verbally and in writing, with the ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word proficiently.

Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 12 months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.
