SERVICE DELIVERY COORDINATOR
Renfrewshire HSCP Care at Home Services provide a range of services, available to people who need assistance with daily living tasks and activities to support them live as independently as possible at home.
Reporting directly to the Home Support Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management of both home support schedulers and home support workers in the delivery of high quality home care services which meet national care standards and SSSC codes of practice. You will provide out of hours leadership, support and guidance to staff and ensure practice is compliant with Service policy and procedural guidance. You will actively review and monitor the quality of home support services and service provision ensuring the current level of support is both adequate and appropriate to meet the needs and outcomes outlined within support plans whilst promoting independence and ensuring the service user’s rights and wellbeing are protected.
You must possess an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification or will undertake in post within a specified period in order to maintain SSSC registration. You will be experienced in working with the public; knowledge of Care Services and National Care Standards; experience in writing comprehensive reports; effective written and verbal communication skills which can be tailored dependent on the audience; literacy skills in order to record, interpret and repot on information accurately and a working knowledge of MS Office suite and other relevant IT systems with a keen interest in learning new technology such as hand-held devices and electronic scheduling systems
You must be able to work well under pressure and have experience of working effectively as part of a team within a demanding environment. It is essential that you have proven ability to build and sustain positive and appropriate professional relationships with colleagues, service users and family members and can work on your own initiative and as part of a team. You will have proven experience of supervising, supporting and managing the workload of staff with effective leadership skills and the ability to organise, develop and motivate people.
It is desirable you have experience of managing staff absence and budget and have practical experience of AIS/SWIFT.
You will require to work on a 4 on/4 off shift pattern to enable the service to operate over a seven day period.
In order to practice, the post holder will require to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up post and complete the necessary qualifications in order to achieve and maintain registration.
