Service Delivery Officer (Day Services)
Day Services for Adults and Older People have undergone a number of changes, with the establishment of new service delivery models. For example, our digital day services provide support to people in the comfort of their own home. People who are not able to be supported through the digital service may meet the criteria for a building-based service, which has been restructured in line with the dependency levels of people attending.
Working as part of the management team supporting day services you will be responsible for providing leadership, support and guidance to Day Service Managers and staff responsible for providing care and support. You will ensure the appropriate deployment of frontline staff, who are equipped with the appropriate knowledge and skills to achieve positive outcomes for the people supported by the service.
You must have proven experience of managing within demanding and complex services, experience of updating, managing and maintaining data through use of electronic systems, and a proven track record of working in partnership with key stakeholders, as well as experience of handling customer enquiries for inbound & outbound calls, emails and face to face and experience of general data entry through the use of an electronic system.
It is essential that you are able to develop effective working relationships with managers, staff and other stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines, as well as having experience of managing staff absences, budget management, risk assessment and health and safety.
You must have effective communication skills with the ability to communicate with staff, colleagues, managers, clients, service users in writing/emails and verbally as well as working knowledge of MS Office suite and other relevant IT systems.
It is essential that you are able to work under pressure and have experience of working effectively as part of a team within a demanding environment.
Possession of a SCQF Level 9 qualification in Health & Social Care/Management or other relevant subject is essential.
The role is multi-sited, and the Service Delivery Officer will operate in accordance with the Council’s WORKSMART arrangements which promote mobile and flexible work practices.
You are required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council or achieve registration within 6 months of taking up employment.
