Streetlighting Assets Officer
This is an exciting time to be joining Renfrewshire Council. We are looking to recruit a Streetlighting Assets Officer for our Roads Operations and Lighting Team. In this role, you will support the Streetlighting Supervisor in ensuring that all streetlighting is operational and assist with the coordination of the teams engaged in the Streetlighting Maintenance Service for both planned & unplanned maintenance.
You will operate and undertake duties across the full range and remit of streetlighting maintenance operations in terms of providing effective, modern front-line services for the residents of Renfrewshire, and lead on the delivery and maintenance of the streetlighting service’s asset management system.
Based at Underwood Road Operations Depot, Paisley, you will be part of the streetlighting team and deliver lighting improvements in Renfrewshire.
You must have moderate experience of dealing with members of the public and public utility companies and have knowledge of IT Systems including Excel and asset management software, as well as knowledge of GIS systems.
It is essential that you have effective interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to use initiative as well as working on your own or as part of a team.
You will have the ability to manage a diverse workload and meet deadlines, and have a flexible approach to work.
An SVQ Level 2 or equivalent and relevant work experience is essential.
A full driving license is essential as you will be required to work throughout Renfrewshire.
