The Pre and Post Birth Team also undertake complex and challenging post birth parenting capacity assessments. The team require to undertake their role in a sensitive, nurturing and questioning manner with the focus being on the child’s safe care and future planning alongside supporting parents often at a time in their lives where they are most vulnerable.

Following a service redesign the Pre and Post Birth Team are in a position to develop and reshape with an emphasis around stronger scrutiny and quality assurance, alongside reviewing resources to ensure support is targeted at early intervention both pre and post birth. We want to make sure our service is fit for the future and has the flexibility and capacity to meet new challenges.
