Treasury Officer (Temporary)

We have an exciting opportunity to join our corporate accountancy team within the Council’s treasury function. You will assist the Council’s treasury activities and provide treasury support across the corporate accounting section.

The role includes accurately processing daily treasury payments, ensure financial records are maintained for all areas of work, provide administrative support for treasury functions and complete daily reconciliations.

The Treasury Officer will also investigate rejected or unapplied customer transactions held in suspense accounts, liaise and collaborate effectively with internal and external customers to resolve queries and provide treasury support during the financial year-end processes.

You will possess a HNC in Accounting, Finance, Business Studies or related subject at SCQF level 7 or have equivalent relevant experience required for the role

You must have experience of working in a financial environment, with prior experience of preparing and analysing financial information using integrated financial ledger systems and associated reporting tools.

You will have an effective level of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail with communication IT and organisational skills, and the ability to use your own initiative and work collaboratively with others.

Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 12 months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.
