Unpaid Work Co-ordinator
This post is based at the Unpaid Work Unit, Unit 50, Greenlaw Industrial Estate, Wallneuk Road, Paisley. You will provide a comprehensive service to Social Work, supervising the Unpaid Work Supervisors, permanent and sessional, 5 days over 7 as directed, ensuring a comprehensive quality unpaid work service to the community within Renfrewshire.
It is essential that you have experience of staff management (ideally within a social work setting) of working with the public, a positive, professional attitude, and a commitment to social work values.
You should have effective communication and engagement skills, a positive approach to individuals’ welfare, and a responsible approach to sensitive information.
Knowledge of the wide range of jobs carried out in the community e.g. woodwork, groundwork and painting and decorating is also essential. You must also possess numeracy, literacy organisational and time management skills. Other essential qualities are your ability to work as part of a team and an interest in personal and professional development.
It is desirable that you have knowledge of common computer systems packages. Previous social work experience, ideally within Justice, experience of the role of the community service supervisor and an understanding and commitment to pro-social modelling, is desirable as is experience of multi-agency working.
