Scottish Borders Council is looking to appoint a permanent Statutory Reporting & Treasury Business Partner to lead the teams providing Statutory Reporting, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Accounts receivable and Banking services to the Council. The post reports to the Chief Officer Finance and Procurement and will be responsible for leading a team of 18 to deliver high quality services to the Council.
The successful candidate will be CCAB qualified with significant post qualification experience in a large, complex organisation. They will have experience in Statutory Accounts/Treasury/Financial Management and be able to demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills.
This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of Statutory Reporting and Treasury Management function of the Council as a restructure of the teams is currently underway. The successful candidate will have experience in deigned and leading change programmes and be expected to promote the use of digital technologies to improved efficiency and good governance.
As a member of the Senior Management team within Finance and Procurement they will be expected to deliver agreed objectives within set timescales and participate in setting the strategic direction of both the Statutory Reporting & Treasury team and the wider Finance and procurement team.
This is a very flexible role primarily working from home with only occasional travel to Council Headquarters in Newtown St Boswells required

Membership of a CCAB recognised Accountancy body or CIMA.
