Are you passionate about helping people and delivering excellent customer service? We are looking for a motivated and organised Allocations Assistant to join our Housing Allocations Team.
In this rewarding role, you will support customers through every stage of the housing application process, providing advice on housing options, responding to enquiries, processing applications, and maintaining accurate records in line with legislation and Council policies. You will work closely with a range of internal teams and external partners to ensure applicants receive a high-quality, responsive service.
We're looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a genuine commitment to customer care. You should be confident using Microsoft 365 applications, able to manage competing priorities, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation and a valid driving licence are essential. Experience of working within social housing, a CIH qualification, and knowledge of housing management systems such as Northgate would be beneficial.
