We are looking to recruit a Building Standards Inspector who will carry out all aspects of the building standards function. This will include, compiling reports, site verification inspections, completion submission inspections, assisting with dangerous buildings, enforcement, and also provide advice to agents, developers, and customers. You will possess good written and verbal communications skills.

You must have a good standard of written and spoken English, good digital skills, be able to prioritise and manage workload effectively, work well under pressure and as part of a team, and demonstrate a customer-focused approach. The post is site based and will involve working remotely in all weather conditions.

Your responsibilities will include assisting the Building Standards Team leader/Coordinator in the day-to-day operation of the building standards service and to contribute to the successful delivery of Council and service targets, the National Performance Framework criteria and the overall service performance.
