Stirling's Educational Psychology service is offering a unique opportunity for a motivated and dynamic individual to join the team for a one year fixed term secondment to the post of Depute Principal Educational Psychologist. This is a significant role in the Education Service, with the post-holder being responsible for the operational line management of the Educational Psychology team, and for a wide range of service-delivery and strategic responsibilities that involves working with children, young people, families and partners. This is an excellent opportunity for an educational psychologist who is seeking experience to extend their leadership and management experience.

As Depute Principal Educational Psychologist, you will work closely with the Principal Educational Psychologist, Service Manager for Inclusion and Early Years and key partners to effectively lead, manage, develop and promote the Educational Psychology Service. Lead strategic areas include embedding relationship based approaches and inclusive practice across schools and early learning and childcare settings. The post requires good leadership and management skills and excellent communication skills. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated person who is values led and determined to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.

Registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) is required. Applications are invited from suitably qualified educational psychologists who currently work in a local authority educational psychology service in Scotland.
