Stirling Council seeks to appoint a highly motivated and innovative professional to lead Gargunnock Primary School.
Gargunnock Primary School currently has a roll of 64 and currently has four composite classes. The school has a s strong and inclusive culture and ethos. Learning experiences are motivating and engaging, and outdoor learning is embraced. The school is part of the Stirling Learning Community and Stirling High School is the associated secondary school.
This is an exciting opportunity requiring strong leadership, excellent communication skills and a thorough knowledge of current educational developments. The applicant will be committed to delivering excellence and equity by sustaining school improvement, promoting high quality learning and teaching, supporting health and wellbeing and raising achievement and attainment for all learners. Applicants must have achieved the Standard for Headship or equivalent, awarded by the General Teaching Council for Scotland or have held a permanent appointment as a Head Teacher of a public school, a grant-aided school or an independent school on or before 1 August 2020 in order to be appointed permanently to this post. Applicants who can demonstrate commitment to and likelihood of achieving this standard within 30 months may be considered for a temporary appointment (of no more than 30 months) while working toward the standard.
