We are currently seeking to enhance our Housing Support Service in Stirling through the recruitment of 1 part time post. The team within our housing project are committed to providing a safe setting for our young adults to grow and develop in their lives. The team support young adults when transitioning to interdependent living by building nurturing relationships which promotes positive wellbeing whilst also ensuring residents are progressing in their lives through the development of practical independent skills. The current vacancy within our Housing Support Worker team will create an opportunity for you to join a committed team in maintaining a positive and safe environment for young adults and to work collaboratively with other agencies. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of Residential Care/Housing Support Care and be attuned to the varying needs of young adults and the individualised support they may need.
Applicants should be willing to work across the shift pattern, which include day shift, twilight and night shift. Ideally, you will have achieved an SVQ 3 Social Services at SCQF level 7 plus HNC Social Services (or an award of certificated knowledge with 96 credits at or above SCQF level 7) or other relevant qualification to enable registration with the SSSC as a Housing Support Worker.
Full UK driving licence required. Applicants must be registered with the SSSC at appointment. In return, you will be provided with regular supervision and training opportunities to enhance your existing skills.
The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children and Adults. If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified.
If you’ve got the right skills for the job we want to hear from you. We encourage applications from the right candidates regardless of age (restrictions apply to Modern Apprenticeships), disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, belief or race.
