Are you highly organised, great with detail, and passionate about supporting people? We’d love you to join our friendly HR team as an HR Business Operations Assistant. This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll be the first point of contact for colleagues and managers, helping them navigate HR policies, processes and systems with confidence.

You’ll play a key part in keeping everything running smoothly—maintaining accurate records in our HR systems (including Oracle Fusion), producing clear reports, and ensuring compliance with GDPR. You’ll also prepare professional letters and correspondence, and support HR Business Partners by coordinating meetings and taking comprehensive notes, writing them up promptly and accurately for case management and project work.

We’re looking for someone with strong administration skills and excellent attention to detail. You’ll be confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and if you have Canva skills, that’s a bonus! Great communication skills—both written and verbal—are essential, along with the ability to prioritise tasks and work independently. You should hold an SCQF Level 4 qualification in Business Administration or equivalent.

Experience in HR or knowledge of HR policy and processes would be an advantage, as would familiarity with HR systems, particularly Oracle Fusion. Previous experience in local government or the public sector will also be beneficial.

This is a hybrid role, typically three days in the office, with flexibility to meet business needs. If you’re ready to bring your skills to a supportive team and make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.

If you’ve got the right skills for the job we want to hear from you. We encourage applications from the right candidates regardless of age (restrictions apply to Modern Apprenticeships), disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, belief or race.
