An opportunity has arisen within Stirling Council for a Janitor to work at Doune Primary School.

The post will involve providing janitorial services for (27.5 hours per week) 5.5 hours per day Mon – Fri in support of the Primary School Community.

Working hours for the post will be Monday to Friday 7.30am – 1pm this post is paid at Stirling Councils Grade 4.

Personal protective equipment will be provided and training where necessary.

Applicants will require to be physically fit, as porterage and other heavy lifting forms a large part of the role and be prepared at times to work outdoors in inclement weather.

Occasional overtime working at evenings to cover school lets will also be required.

Applicants will also require a basic working knowledge of IT and be willing to undertake training to allow them to utilise Stirling Council online training and human resources IT applications.

Face to face training will also be required.

Personal protective equipment, tools and training will be provided.

The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children. If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified.
