Stirling Council’s Housing Service are seeking an experienced housing professional for the role of Mid Market Rent Officer to manage the day to day housing management of all part furnished Mid Market Rent properties on behalf of Steadfast Homes LLP.

The role covers all aspect of housing management of private residential tenancies from allocating properties, tenancy sign ups, ensuring tenants comply with their tenancy conditions, rent collection, banking and returning rent deposits, escalating cases to the Housing & Property Chamber were appropriate, repair reporting, managing the turn around of void properties all in accordance with the relevant legislation and to the standards and target timescales set out by Steadfast Homes LLP.

The role also involves the regular review of polices and procedures for the management of the mid market rent portfolio of properties and providing the board of Steadfast Homes LLP with regular management reports and data on future demand for mid market rent properties.

You will work collaboratively with other internal and external organisations including Steadfast Homes LLP, Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, external contractors, Scottish Government and Stirling Council Housing Service Teams to ensure all mid market rent properties are managed and maintained to the required high standards and ensuring compliance all relevant housing legislation including the Letting Agent Code of Practice at all times.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience in the day to day management of residential rental properties ensuring tenancy compliance, providing high standards of customer service and that properties and their common areas are maintained to the high standards expected of Steadfast Homes LLP by working collaboratively with a range of internal and external partners. You will have excellent organisational, analytical and influencing skills as well as experience in communication with different stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) Adults and Children. If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified.

It is also essential that the successful candidate holds the relevant Housing qualification and hold a current Letting Agent Qualification (SCQF – Level 6 or above), maintain 15 hours of relevant CPD per annum and be accepted on to the Scottish Letting Agent Register. If the successful candidate does not hold the relevant Letting Agent Qualification at the date of appointment to this post, it essential condition of appointment that the candidate must successfully complete this qualification within 6 months of the date of their appointment along with the successful registration to the Scottish Letting Agent Register.
