Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen within our Housing Service where you will work as a Modern Apprentice Painter & Decorator within the Construction Trades visiting tenants’ premises to carry out repairs; working on capital investment sites, e.g. new builds and kitchen and bathroom refurbishments.Requirements
You will learn how to work to all the various Council Standards including Health & Safety and Customer Service and carry out other duties as required for the Service. As a Modern Apprentice, you will work towards the Painting & Decorating Modern Apprenticeship SCQF Level 6 and be willing to undertake any other training relevant to the role. You will be 16-19 years old (or a 2023 official summer leaver) and be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm this role and a commitment to learn.
This opportunity is funded through the Modern Apprenticeship scheme and candidates between 20-29 years old may be eligible for enhanced funding if you have a disability or are care experienced.
