Job Description

To provide high quality care to children and young people residing at Brucefield Residential Service or transitioning on. Help provide and maintain a warm, safe, loving home for our young people. Support young people to access education, employment, health, family, financial supports etc. Use of a PC essential skills required daily. Key working responsibilities. Maintaining daily records as required. Managing petty cash & ensuring recording/accuracy. Participation in pathway reviews, including presenting reports, and attending meetings. To participate in the formulation of care plans and risk assessments.  Undertaking key worker duties with individuals, liaising with families, Social Workers and all other relevant agencies. Encourage young people to share their views and voice being heard. Sharing practical tasks of the service management as required. Sharing in the establishment and maintenance of effective links and good relationships with the local community. Engage in positive activities with young people to build relationships and create opportunities aimed at improving young people’s self-esteem, confidence. Such other duties as required, to enable young people to maintain dignity, privacy and choice and develop appropriate independence. General H & S around the building and security is maintained.
