Job Description
You will provide high quality learning and teaching where short term cover is required within Stirling Council Schools and Educational Establishments.
You will be required to teach assigned classes together with associated preparation and correction. You will also assist in developing the school curriculum, including assessments, where appropriate, and in preparing pupils for examinations. With excellent interpersonal skills you will have good demonstrable classroom practice. You will have a sound knowledge of A Curriculum for Excellence and National qualifications.
You will be involved in monitoring and tracking the progress of pupils. You will provide advice and guidance to pupils on issues relating to their education, working in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals. You will also contribute towards the good order and wider needs of the school.
You will participate in activities related to school planning, raising attainment and individual review where appropriate. You will have a relevant teaching qualification together with GTCS registration, and will undertake relevant Career Long Professional Learning.
