Are you passionate about sparking curiosity in young minds? Do you have the patience, energy, and empathy to help our youngest learners thrive?

We are looking for a dedicated Support for Learning Assistant (SLA) to join our vibrant Early Years team. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child feels empowered to explore and grow.

The Role

As an SLA in our Early Years classes, you will work closely with teachers to support children’s learning and development. Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Inclusive Practice: Supporting children with Additional Support Needs (ASN) to ensure they are fully included in all activities.
  • Creative Engagement: Assisting with the setup and delivery of play-based learning activities (indoors and outdoors!).
  • Nurturing Wellbeing: Providing emotional support and helping children develop social skills and independence.
  • Observation: Helping track progress and sharing insights with the teaching team to tailor our approach.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone who brings sunshine into the classroom! Ideally, you have:

  • A Heart for Early Years: A genuine love for working with children.
  • Patience & Resilience: The ability to stay calm and supportive, even during the "tough" moments.
  • Team Spirit: A collaborative mindset and a "can-do" attitude.
  • Communication Skills: The ability to build great relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Relevant Experience: Previous experience in a school or nursery setting and a basic understanding of early childhood development.

Why Join Us?

  • A warm, welcoming school community that feels like a family.
  • Opportunities for professional development and training.
  • The chance to make a tangible difference in a child’s foundational years.

The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children. If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified.

If you’ve got the right skills for the job we want to hear from you. We encourage applications from the right candidates regardless of age (restrictions apply to Modern Apprenticeships), disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, belief or race.
