An exciting opportunity has arisen for three Support for Learning Assistants to become valued members of our school team, within Castleview Primary School. 

These are temporary positions for 27.5 hours, which will be Monday to Friday across a school day from 9.00 a.m. until 3.00 p.m. with a thirty minute break. The contract will be until June 2026.

You will be fully involved in the life and work of this happy and busy additional support needs school setting, providing an invaluable contribution towards high quality care and education of children with severe and complex additional support needs.

Applications are welcomed from enthusiastic and committed individuals with experience of working with children of different ages and abilities, ideally including those with additional support needs. You will work within an enthusiastic and hard-working team to support children with learning opportunities that are part of a high quality, child-centred education. 

You will be a reliable, patient and innovative individual, who will be an effective team member. In addition, you will have good communication and organisational skills, a positive and solution focused attitude, and show a commitment to ongoing professional development. Significant training will be provided to ensure that the successful candidate can effectively and confidently support the severe and complex additional support needs of our young people, this will include training on key medical interventions from NHS colleagues.
