Killin Primary and Crianlarich Primary are seeking an enthusiastic, nurturing and highly motivated Support for Learning Teacher to join our dedicated team from 21st September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of children by supporting inclusive practice and helping all learners to thrive within our caring and supportive school communities. Working collaboratively with staff, pupils, families and partner agencies, you will play a key role in identifying and removing barriers to learning, ensuring that every child has access to high-quality learning experiences that meet their individual needs.

This post will be involve delivery of Support for Learning Teaching (SFL) across both schools, 0.2 FTE at Killin Primary (1 day), 0.1 FTE at Crianlarich Primary (half day). Working days will be discussed during the interview process.

About the Role

As our Support for Learning Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver targeted support and interventions for individuals and groups of pupils.
  • Work closely with class teachers to plan, implement and review effective strategies to support learning and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to staged intervention processes and Child’s Planning Meetings.
  • Support the identification and assessment of additional support needs.
  • Develop and review targeted learning plans and support strategies.
  • Work in partnership with parents/carers, educational psychologists and other agencies.
  • Promote inclusive practices and build staff capacity through collaboration and professional dialogue.
  • Monitor and track pupil progress, ensuring interventions lead to positive outcomes.
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to Getting It Right for Every Child (GIRFEC), inclusion and equity.

You will have a relevant teaching qualification together with GTCS registration, have a high standard of demonstrable classroom practice with sound knowledge of curriculum, learning, teaching and assessment and experience of delivering Support for Learning.
