A unique opportunity has arisen to join Stirling Council’s Waste Service. We are recruiting x2 modern apprentices who will learn and work across the full range of the Service. This will include; learning how the Service collects, disposes and treats waste material from kerbside collections and the household waste recycling centres; learning how the service is organised within an office environment. The successful candidates will learn bespoke IT programmes within the office, and also support our waste collections and disposals duties. This will include working with various operational and site related equipment. The successful candidates will work towards a Modern Apprenticeship in Sustainable Resource Management at SCQF 5 as well as any other training required for the role. This role can lead to opportunities within the wider the Waste sector or other roles in Local Government. This opportunity is funded through the Modern Apprenticeship scheme and is open to 17-24 year olds and candidates between 20-29 years old may be eligible for enhanced funding if you have a disability or are care experienced.
