Job Description

Roads and Transportation team are accepting applications for suitably experienced road worker to carry out a wide range of road maintenance duties and related driving activities incorporating winter gritting and work of an emergency nature that support the wider work programmes and operations.

The post holder will be responsible for undertaking road inspections and repair in line with our find and fix operations and when required undertake chargehand duties within the wider road maintenance team activities.

The post holder will undertake these activities on a part time basis as part of a job share with another employee. The post holder will be required to work on a one week on/one week off rotation.

Ideal candidates will have experience in defect identification and repair as well as surfacing, drainage, plant operation, or winter maintenance.
