Glasgow Kelvin College is the key provider of accessible vocational and core-skills learning in the north and east of the city. We deliver high-quality introductory to degree-level programmes to around 15,000 students each year from four campus buildings and through a large network of community-based centres. Active Travel Officer

Salary: £18,243 –£21,243

Full time Fixed Term Contract until March 2022

Location: Glasgow

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Glasgow Kelvin College’s Estates and Environmental Sustainability team as an Active Travel Officer. This role will require you to design, progress and deliver projects across the College campuses with the aim of increasing active travel uptake and engagement.

The post is a fixed term position until March 2022.

Essential Criteria

You will be able to demonstrate a knowledge of the health benefits of Active Travel and Active Travel Initiatives and will have experience of developing and managing Active Travel projects; leading group workshops, organising and running events and delivering projects with different partners.

To lead the practical engagement activities which will include; led rides, cycle training for adults and children, cycle route planning and bicycle maintenance session you must be a regular and confident cyclist.

Desirable Criteria

Ideally you will be educated to HNC level or above and be able to provide evidence of continued professional development.
